IAM is a global solution. All IAM objects (users, accounts, groups, sessions, and so on) are globally accessible and can reference resources from any Fortanix Armor region.

2.2 Key Insight

Fortanix Key Insightâ„¢ supports regional data storage in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments, enabling you to meet data sovereignty requirements by choosing where your Fortanix Key Insight data is stored.

Perform the following operations on the Key InsightTM solution:

  1. Region: Select the required Fortanix Key Insight region from the drop down. The supported regions are European Union (EU) and North America (NA).

    NOTE

    • The Region field is available only in Fortanix Key Insight SaaS environments as on-premises deployments do not support regional data storage.

    • European Union is selected by default.

    • Data for each Fortanix Key Insight region is stored in data centres within that geographic region. Data from one region is isolated from data in other regions.

    • Although data is stored regionally, all regions share the same global IAM instance.

  2. Connections: View the number of existing connections configured in the selected region (if any).

    Figure 5: Select the region

  3. Click GO TO KEY INSIGHT to:

    NOTE

    • An Account Administrator must configure the first Fortanix Key Insight connection in a selected region. Account Members can view and select regions but cannot configure connections until the initial setup is completed by an Account Administrator.
