Getting Started with Key Insight

1.0 Introduction

This article helps you get started with Fortanix Key Insight.

It also describes how to access Fortanix Key Insight and start using the solution.

2.0 Access Fortanix Key Insight

Fortanix Key Insight is a solution available on the Fortanix Armor platform. To access Fortanix Key Insight, you must have access to Fortanix Armor and an Armor account.

2.1 New Users

If you are new to Fortanix Armor, first complete the registration and account setup described in Getting Started with Fortanix Armor SaaS and Access and Set Up Fortanix Armor.

2.2 Existing Users

If you already have a Fortanix Armor account, log in to Fortanix Armor and select the account you want to use with Key Insight.

3.0 Open Fortanix Key Insight

After you select your Fortanix Armor account, the Available Solutions page is displayed. From this page, you can access Fortanix Key Insight.

Perform the following steps:

1. Ensure the appropriate region (European Union or North America) is selected from the Region dropdown.

   The selected region determines where your data is processed and stored. It also ensures that connections, scans, and UI elements are displayed based on the selected region. For more information on configuring regions, refer to Fortanix Armor Solutions.

   NOTE

   The Region field is available only in the Fortanix Key Insight Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment. It is not displayed in the on-premises user interface.

2. Click GO TO KEY INSIGHT to access Fortanix Key Insight

• First-time users: The Let's Set Up Your New Connection wizard opens.

  If no connection exists for the selected region, use the wizard to create a connection.

  NOTE

  You must add at least one connection before you can use Fortanix Key Insight.

  To configure your first connection, refer to one of the following:

  • Manual Import Connection

    • Manual Import

  • Cloud Connections

    • Amazon Web Services

    • Azure

    • Google Cloud Platform

    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

  • On-premises connections

  • External key source connections

    • Fortanix  (SaaS)

    • Fortanix DSM (On-Premises)

  • Vendor applications

    • CyberArk (SaaS)

    • CyberArk (On-Premises)

• Existing users: The Key Insight Overview dashboard opens.
