1.0 Introduction
This article describes how to access and set up Fortanix Armor after you have registered for Armor SaaS or completed a customer-managed deployment.
It describes how to:
Log in to Fortanix Armor using a password.
Log in using Single Sign-On (SSO).
Reset your Fortanix Armor password if you have forgotten it.
Create your first Fortanix Armor account.
Access the solutions available in your Armor account.
NOTE
If you are a new user and have not yet registered for Fortanix Armor SaaS, see Getting Started with Fortanix Armor SaaS to start a trial and create your Fortanix Armor user account.
Fortanix Armor provides access to solutions and platform services through an Armor account. After you log in, you can create or select an Armor account and then access the solutions available to you.
2.0 Log In to Fortanix Armor
Log in to Fortanix Armor after you have registered as a user.
For Fortanix Armor SaaS, access Armor at: https://armor.fortanix.com/
For customer-managed deployments, access Fortanix Armor using the Armor domain configured for your deployment.
NOTE
For customer-managed deployments, the Armor domain corresponds to the
certConfig.subjectvalue configured in the Ingress Configuration of theArmorPlatformresource.
On the Fortanix Armor Log In page, you can authenticate using either:
A password
Single Sign-On (SSO)
2.1 Log In Using a Password
Perform the following steps to log in to Fortanix Armor using a password:
Open the Fortanix Armor Log In page.
Enter the email address associated with your Fortanix Armor user account.
Click LOG IN WITHOUT SSO.
Enter your Password.
Click LOG IN.
You are logged in to Fortanix Armor.
TIP
On the password field, use the visibility icon to show
or hide
the password while entering it.
2.1.1 Password Requirements
For information about password requirements for Fortanix Armor SaaS, refer to the Fortanix Armor SaaS Password Policy.
2.2 Log In Using SSO
Fortanix Armor supports authentication through third-party Single Sign-On (SSO) providers. When SSO is configured for an Armor account, users in that account can authenticate using the credentials provided by the configured identity provider. SSO configuration is an administrator task and is documented separately in Fortanix Armor Identity and Access Management (IAM).
Perform the following steps to log in to Fortanix Armor using SSO
Open the Fortanix Armor Log In page.
Enter the email address associated with your Fortanix Armor user account.
Click LOG IN.
On the authentication page, select the SSO configuration available for your account.
Follow the authentication instructions provided by the configured identity provider.
For example, if an SSO configuration named OAUTH-1 is configured for your account, select OAUTH-1 and complete the authentication process.
After successful authentication, you are logged in to Fortanix Armor.

NOTE
If SSO is not configured for your account, Fortanix Armor prompts you to authenticate using a password.
2.3 Reset Password
If you have forgotten your Fortanix Armor password, you can reset it from the Log In page.
Perform the following steps to reset the password:
Open the Fortanix Armor Log In page and click LOG IN WITHOUT SSO.
Click Forgot password?
Enter the email address associated with your Fortanix Armor user account.
Select I’m not a robot to complete the reCAPTCHA verification.
Click RESET PASSWORD.
Check your email for the password reset message.
Open the email and click the password reset link.
On the Reset password page:
New password: Enter a new password.
Confirm new password: Re-enter the new password.
Click SAVE PASSWORD.
After your password is successfully reset, you are redirected to the Log In page.
Log in using your new password.
For Fortanix Armor SaaS, the new password must meet the requirements described in the Fortanix Armor SaaS Password Policy.
NOTE
If you do not receive the password reset email, verify that you entered the email address associated with your Fortanix Armor user account.
3.0 Create an Armor Account
After you log in to Fortanix Armor, you can create or select an Armor account to access the solutions available on the platform.
An Armor account is different from your Fortanix Armor user account:
Your user account identifies and authenticates you to Fortanix Armor.
Your Armor account provides the workspace in which you access and manage the available solutions.
3.1 Create an Armor Account on SaaS
For Fortanix Armor SaaS, if you do not already belong to an Armor account, the Add Account page is displayed after you log in.
Perform the following steps to create an Armor account:
On the Add Account page, enter a name for your account in the Account name field.
Click CREATE.

After the account is created, Fortanix Armor displays the Available Solutions page. The newly created account is also added to the Accounts page.

3.2 Create and Access an Account on Customer-Managed Deployments
For Fortanix Armor customer-managed or on-premises deployments, the account setup experience differs from SaaS.
After you log in, a default System Administration account is available on the Accounts page.
The System Administration account is used to invite or manage system administration users through the Identity & Access Management solution.
NOTE
The System Administration account is specific to customer-managed deployments. It is used for system-level administration of the Armor deployment.
3.2.1 Manage System Administration Users
Perform the following steps to invite or manage a system administrator or system operator:
On the Accounts page, locate the System Administration account.
Click SELECT ACCOUNT.
Click the Identity & Access Management solution tile.
On the Users page, invite and manage users with the appropriate role:
System Administrator
System Operator
NOTE
On the Groups page, a default group named default sysadmin group is created automatically.
3.2.2 Access System Administration
Perform the following steps to access system management functions:
In the Fortanix Armor UI, click System Administration in the top navigation bar to open the Armor System Administration portal.
From the System Administration portal, you can:
Manage Fortanix Armor system administration accounts.
View all Fortanix Armor system administration users.

3.2.3 Create Additional Armor Accounts
In addition to the default System Administration account, perform the following steps to create an Armor account to access the available solutions.
Perform the following steps:
Open the Accounts page and click ADD ACCOUNT.
Enter the account name and click CREATE.
Select the account.
From the Available Solutions page, access the required solution.
NOTE
The System Administration account is used for system-level administration. To access and manage solutions such as Key Insight or Confidential Computing Manager, use an appropriate Armor account.
4.0 Access Armor Solutions
After you create or select an Armor account, the Available Solutions page is displayed. From this page, you can access the following solutions available for the selected account:
Identity & Access Management
Fortanix Key Insight
Fortanix Confidential Computing Manager
Fortanix Data Security Manager
