This article provides an overview of new features in the Fortanix Confidential Computing Manager (CCM) SaaS 4.8 release.
1. New Features and API Updates
Added Zone CA certificate rotation support in Fortanix CCM, enabling generation, retrieval, and activation of new certificates. This prevents issues caused by expiring Zone certificates.
Introduced the following new APIs for Zone CA certificate management in Fortanix CCM:
GET /v1/zones/{zone-id}/certificates– Retrieve current, next, and previous Zone certificates.POST /v1/zones/{zone-id}/certificates– Generate a new Zone certificate.POST /v1/zones/{zone-id}/certificates/rotate– Rotate the newly generated Zone certificate.
2. Limitations
Fortanix has a fair usage policy in this Early Customer Access Program. Hence, Fortanix has limited the resources one can create per account. Therefore, it is expected to observe a resource creation failure message once you have reached the maximum limit.
