This article provides an overview of the new features, improvements, and on-premises scanner updates in the Fortanix Key Insight 25.09 release.
1.0 New Features
Fortanix Key Insight now supports scanning on-premises source code repositories to discover cryptographic assets within local repositories (JIRA: KI-1861).
A new SOURCE CODE tab has been added to the on-premises connection’s Overview, Assessment, and Resources pages, providing details about the scanned assets and resources.
A new Cryptographic Assets page has been added to the left navigation panel for on-premises source code repositories, listing the scanned cryptographic assets.

Fortanix Key Insight now supports scanning on-premises file systems to discover keys, certificates, and other cryptographic assets stored in local directories on both Linux and Windows systems (JIRA: KI-2726).
A new FILE SYSTEMS tab has been added to the on-premises connection’s Overview, Assessment, and Resources pages, providing details about the scanned assets and resources.
A new Cryptographic Assets page has been added to the left navigation panel for on-premises file systems, listing the scanned cryptographic assets.
A new Certificates page has been added to the left navigation panel for on-premises file systems, listing the scanned cryptographic assets.

2.0 Improvements
Updated the on-premises connection Overview, Assessment, and Resources pages to include a new DATABASES tab. The tab displays detailed scanning results for on-premises databases, providing improved visibility (JIRA: KI-3180).

The Policy Center page has been enhanced to support both standard policies and user-defined custom policies when adding or editing a policy (JIRA: KI-3320).
Now, you can,
View the new COMPLIANCE TYPE column on the Policy Center page.
Select the Compliance Type as either Compliance Standards (default) or Custom when adding or editing a policy.
Manage (add, edit, and delete) the user-defined policies and Fortanix DSM policies during cloud or on-premises connection onboarding.

Fortanix Key Insight now supports displaying more than six columns in the Keys and Certificates lists, enhancing usability for high-resolution displays (JIRA: KI-3114).
When the total column width exceeds the available screen size, horizontal scrolling is automatically enabled.
The first column (Key or Certificate ID) and the action column (
) remain fixed during scrolling for easier navigation.
