1.0 Introduction
This article describes how to manage users in Fortanix Confidential Computing Manager (CCM). It provides step-by-step instructions to invite new users, assign roles, and edit existing user details.
2.0 Invite a User
2.1 Prerequisites
Ensure the following:
You have the email address of the user you want to invite.
You must have Account Administrator privileges to invite users.
2.2 Steps
Perform the following steps to invite a user to an account:
In the CCM UI left navigation panel, click Users, and then click + ADD USER to add a new user to this account.

On the User form, do the following:
Email (user’s email): Enter the user’s email address. Email addresses are case-insensitive.
First Name (Optional): Enter the user’s first name.
Last Name (Optional): Enter the user’s last name.
Role (Optional): Select the role(s) for this user.

NOTE
When inviting a user with one of the following roles
Administrator: The user is automatically added to all the CCM groups as Group administrator by default and cannot be removed from these groups.
Viewer: The user is automatically added to all the CCM groups as Group auditor by default and cannot be removed from these groups.
Editor: The user is not automatically added to a CCM group. An Editor can be manually added to a group as a Group Administrator or Group Auditor. Editors can also be removed from groups.

Click SAVE to send the invitation.
The invited user receives an email to join the account.

3.0 Edit a User
This section describes how to modify a user’s role in Fortanix CCM.
3.1 Prerequisites
Ensure the following:
You must have Account Administrator privileges to modify another user’s role.
3.2 Edit Another User’s Role (Administrator Only)
Perform the following steps to edit a user’s role:
In the CCM UI left navigation panel, click Users.
From the list of users, locate the user you want to edit and click the overflow menu icon for the selected user.
Click EDIT USER from the drop down menu.

On the User Permission page, update the role of the user as required.

Click SAVE to save the changes.
The updated user details are saved and visible now.

3.3 Edit Your Own Profile
If you are an Account Administrator, you are assigned the Administrator, Editor, and Viewer roles by default.
You can edit your own profile details, such as First name and Last name, using the My profile option.
Perform the following steps:
Click My profile from the Fortanix CCM UI.

Click the Edit icon.
Update the First name and Last name fields as required.
Click SAVE to apply the changes.
