Storage Requirements

Fortanix Armor uses Azure Blob Storage for Cassandra database backups. You must provision an Azure Storage Account with the following minimum supported configuration:

NOTE

Premium performance tier is also supported.

Configure Azure Blob Storage Credentials

Before configuring Cassandra database backups, ensure that the Azure Storage Account credentials are configured as a Kubernetes Secret in the Fortanix Armor namespace.

Example command:

Where,

  • <resource-group>: The resource group containing the Azure Storage Account.

  • <storage-account-name>: The name of the Azure Storage Account used for Cassandra backups.

  • <armor-namespace>: The Kubernetes namespace where Fortanix Armor is deployed.

  • <backup-secret-name>: The name of the Kubernetes Secret containing the Azure Storage Account credentials.

  • <key_value>: The value of the storage account key returned by the Azure CLI command.

    NOTE

    Specify the same Secret name in the database.backup.secret field of the ArmorPlatform resource.
