One can also download the `.so` file and use it directly. Check the [Clients: PKCS#11 Library](/v1/docs/fortanix-dsm-clients-pkcs11-library) for more details. ### Installation for DEB from Public Repo #### Steps to Download the DEB package 1. Add the following line to the file `/etc/apt/sources.list"`. ```plaintext deb https://download.fortanix.com/linux/apt focal main ``` 2. Download [https://download.fortanix.com/linux/apt/fortanix.gpg](https://download.fortanix.com/linux/apt/fortanix.gpg). 3. After downloading the file `fortanix.gpg`, run the following command to add the file to a trusted source. ```plaintext sudo apt-key add /fortanix.gpg ``` Where, `directory-path` is the folder where you downloaded the file. 4. Run the following commands to get the latest package from the repo. ```plaintext sudo apt update ``` 5. Run the following command to install the package. ```plaintext sudo apt install fortanix-pkcs11 ``` #### Steps to Download the RPM package 1. Run the following command to go to the `yum.repos.d` directory. ```plaintext cd /etc/yum.repos.d/ ``` 2. Create the file `em-agent.repo` in the folder from *Step 1* and add the following contents to it, then save. ```plaintext [em-agent] name=EM Agent  - $basearch baseurl=https://download.fortanix.com/linux/yum/el7/x86_64 enabled=1 gpgkey=https://download.fortanix.com/linux/yum/fortanix.pub gpgcheck=1 ``` 3. Run the following commands to get the latest package from the repo. ```plaintext sudo yum update ``` 4. Run the following command to install the package. ```plaintext sudo yum install fortanix-pkcs11 ``` **Windows 64-bit** ## Windows 64-bit ### Download [Installer](https://download.fortanix.com/clients/4.25.2353/FortanixKmsClient-4.25.2353.msi) **SHA256 sum:** ```plaintext 38b072f214535952fe498a4208f69d376a32a3dbd8837c4042ea3b214ab33b26 ``` ### Installation The Windows installer installs the PKCS#11 Library, as well as the Fortanix CNG and EKM providers. The default installation location of PKCS#11 library is `C:\Program Files\Fortanix\KmsClient\FortanixKmsPkcs11.dll`
