# How to Configure an Application in Fortanix Confidential Computing Manager?

To configure an application in Fortanix Confidential Computing Manager (CCM):

- Users create application policies and CCM issues certificates to applications based on the policies.
- Users specify application enclave parameters and other configuration like the domain name for application certificates.
- With policy configuration, users can implement geo-fencing, and compute affinity to support data regulation policies such as GDPR.

*For more information on how to create and configure an application in Fortanix CCM, refer to the*[*User's Guide: Add and Edit an Application*](/v1/docs/users-guide-add-and-edit-an-application)*.*
