# Fortanix DSM CLI [4.33.2492]

The Fortanix Data Security Manager (DSM) command-line interface (CLI) is a cross-platform utility written in Python and supports both Python 2 and 3.

> From the Fortanix DSM 4.9 version onwards, Python 2 support is removed for sdkms-cli.

> NOTE
> 
> For the `import_pfx` command:
> 
> - If you are using Python version 3.8, then use the `cryptography` library version 36.0.0.
> - If you are using Python version 3.9, then use the `cryptography` library version 37.0.0.

Alternatively, the CLI tool may be installed with the Package Installer for Python (PIP).
