# Sysadmin Settings - Frontend

## 1.0 Introduction

This article describes the system level frontend settings that are configured by the Fortanix-Data-Security-Manager (DSM) system administrator.

The settings configured here are applicable to every object of the entire cluster.

## 2.0 Frontend

The **FRONTEND** setting defines the URL for the Fortanix DSM user interface (UI) assets and is preconfigured by default. In most deployments, you should not change this URL.

Modifying the **DSM UI assets URL** incorrectly can cause the web UI to stop working. If you need to change the URL, ensure the value is accurate. While the URL can be changed, if necessary, this setting typically remains unchanged in most deployments.

Perform the following steps to change the URL, if needed in rare cases:

1. Navigate to the **System Administration** → **Settings**→ **FRONTEND**tab.

2. Click **EDIT**and update the DSM UI assets URL.

Fortanix Data Security Manager (DSM) is the world’s first cloud service secured with Intel® SGX. With Fortanix DSM, you can securely generate, store, and use cryptographic keys and certificates, as well as other secrets such as passwords, API keys, tokens, or any blob of data. Your business-critical applications and containers can integrate with Fortanix DSM using legacy cryptographic interfaces (PKCS#11, CNG, and JCE) or using the native Fortanix DSM RESTful interface.
