# Filesystem Encryption for ElasticSearch Using Fortanix DSM

This article describes how to integrate **Fortanix Filesystem Encryption (FSE)** with **Elasticsearch** using **Fortanix-Data-Security-Manager (DSM)**. The article explains how to configure Elasticsearch to use an encrypted filesystem for its data path and apply decryption policies to ensure that only authorized users and processes can access plaintext data.
